New Haven is well served by Metro-North, Shoreline East and Amtrak trains at Union Station, and limited service at NH-State Street Station. Greyhound, Peter Pan and Megabus offer bus service to Union Station. 

From Union Station, travelers may travel to Yale Divinity School by taxi or Yale shuttle bus. Taxi fares are $10-15 and Yale shuttle service is free. Union Station is served by the Yale Shuttle buses on the Red Line; transfer at College and Wall Street to catch the Blue Line bus to YDS. Real-time shuttle bus information is available from TransLoc or on the TransLoc app for iPhone and Android.


The Divinity School street address is 409 Prospect Street, New Haven, CT.

  1. From I-95 North or South, take I-91 towards New Haven.
  2. Take Exit #3, Trumbull Street. 
  3. At the end of the ramp, continue straight on Trumbull Street for four blocks.
  4. Turn right onto Prospect Street.
  5. The Divinity School is about three-quarters of a mile on the right. 

To park in the YDS parking Lot 11, turn right into the driveway (which you will see after passing the quadrangle-shaped building) and continue a few yards.  The parking lot will be on your left, with the main entrance to YDS on your right.  On-street parking can be found on Prospect Street in front of the Celantano Elementary School, and on Division and Canner Streets. Look for signs indicating parking rules. 

Yale Transit

Yale offers a shuttle service around campus that is open to summer event participants. The Divinity School building is on the Red Line and Blue Line stops. Some hotels are near stops. Please check the Transit map for more details and for the Transit summer schedule.

Parking will be available in the main YDS lot (Lot 11) for Summer Study participants 24 hours a day at no charge. There is also parking available on certain surrounding streets. Pay attention to street signs for warnings about street sweeping days.
