Location
Campus housing is offered in the Yale Pauli Murray College, 130 Prospect St, New Haven, CT 06511, which is 0.6 miles (1 km) from the Yale Divinity School campus. You can take the free Yale Transit service to and from the residence hall. If you choose to walk, please be aware that the walk from Pauli Murray to YDS is up the steep Science Hill which can be difficult in summer heat. If you have any health issues or physical restrictions, we strongly encourage you to take the Yale Transit shuttle. The saying on campus is, “It’s a mile down Science Hill and five miles back up.”
Cost
$75.11 per night Single bedroom/within a suite in Yale’s Pauli Murray College. Additional charges for optional linens and meal plans.

Amenities
Rooms in Pauli Murray College come with minimal amenities. Each room has an extra-long twin bed, a desk, desk chair, and dresser. If you choose to add a linen pack to your registration, you are provided with a fitted sheet, bed sheet, pillowcase, and towels. You still need to bring your own pillows and are encouraged to bring a blanket.
Each room has an air chilling system set to keep a temperature of 78f (25.5c).
Bathrooms are shared. There are private shower stalls and private toilet stalls. You must bring your own toiletries.
You have access to the TV lounge, recreational area, and Common Room study area.
You are responsible for separating and emptying your own trash in the ground floor recycling bins outside of the lounge area.
Free WiFi is available in all Yale buildings. Just open your wifi settings and choose Yale Guest.
There are no televisions or phones in the residence hall rooms.
Using Yale Transit
The Blue Line to YDS is across the street from the Pauli Murray college front gate, at the corner of Prospect and Sachem Streets. Blue Line buses usually look similar to city buses. When you are in sight of YDS, pull the driver alert cord above the bus windows to ring the bell so the driver will stop at the YDS front gate. If you miss the YDS stop, the next stop is just one block away.
The Red Line to Pauli Murray College and the downtown Yale campus is across the street from the YDS entrance driveway at the corner of Prospect and Division Streets. The Red Line shuttle usually looks similar to a shuttle bus at airports. Just tell the driver you want to stop at Pauli Murray college when you board. You can also take the Red Line from the Pauli Murray front gate the main Yale campus downtown and to the New Haven train station.
You do not have to show an ID to use Yale Transit.

Parking
You may choose to add a paid parking option to your housing registration or you may park for free in the YDS parking lot (#11) overnight. Take Yale Transit to and from your housing using the Red Line and Blue Line.
Shipping Packages
Packages cannot be shipped to the residence hall. If you have an emergency package that needs to be received after normal business hours, please have it shipped to the FedEx office at 30 Whitney Ave, New Haven, CT 06510.
